Prototypical Railroad Signals.
Each railroad has subtle differences in the way their signal systems work. Another difficultly comes from the fact that different signal locations on a railroad can require unique colors because of track arrangements. Model signal systems have traditionally been difficult to build to deal with these differences. That is about to change.
